'Pure Cremation' vs 'Direct Cremation' - how are they different?
‘Pure Cremation’ is a trademark name for a distinct type of funeral where there is no attended funeral service. These types of funerals are collectively referred to as a ‘Direct Cremation.’ Numerous national companies in the UK currently offer ‘Direct Cremation.’
How is a 'Direct Cremation' from the Little Funeral Company different?
The ‘Little Funeral Company’ is owned and operated by A & A Walters, a local, well-established family-owned Funeral Director based in the West Midlands. They bring their wealth of experience, reputation and commitment to personal, individualised care crafted over five generations. The ‘Little Funeral Company’ are in no way linked to ‘Pure Cremation’, but they do provide ‘Direct Cremation’.
Whether you choose our Direct Cremation an Enhanced Direct Cremation or a pre-paid Direct Cremation Plan you can be assured of the same compassion and care for you and your loved one as you would expect from a more traditional A & A Walters funeral service.

The ‘Little Funeral Company’ owned and operated by A & A Walters is here to provide you with the same level of personal service you would expect from a ‘Traditional’ funeral, but because of the nature of direct cremation, at a cheaper cost.

Your loved one is treated with dignity and respect throughout and will remain at our family funeral home until the day of the cremation whereby they will be taken by own trusted staff to a local crematorium.
All arrangements can be managed efficiently by phone and email or you can visit us at one of our branches – its your choice.
We always prepare and dress your loved one – either in a gown or clothing you may wish to provide.
We offer the use of our Chapel of Rest – either to simply pay your respects (Direct Cremation) or for an intimate funeral service (Enhanced Direct Cremation)
